DIRECTIONS

By Air:

Santa Barbara Municipal Airport (500 Fowler Rd., 805/683-4011), its less than ten miles—and less than a fifteen minute drive—to the house. To get to the house from the airport, rent a car or take a taxi and follow the signs from the airport to 101 south, and follow the driving directions below.

By Train:

Amtrak trains from Los Angeles and San Diego northbound, and from as far north as Seattle southbound, stop in Santa Barbara. Several trains operate daily from L.A. for the 2.5 hour trip to Santa Barbara, and the cost is $18-25 one-way. See www.AmtrakCalifornia.com or call (800)872-7245.

Driving Directions:

From 101 southbound: Exit 101 south at the Las Positas exit. Turn right onto Las Positas and follow it till it ends (about 2 miles). Turn left onto Cliff, then left again onto Flora Vista (the second of two quickly consecutive lights). Calle Andalucia is less than a quarter of a mile up Flora Vista on your left, and we’re 2413 Calle Andalucia.

From 101 northbound: Exit 101 north at the Cabrillo exit. Turn left onto Cabrillo and follow it along the waterfront, past Sterns Wharf and the yacht club, and up the hill and past Shoreline park, for a total of about 5 miles, to Cliff (McDonalds on the corner). (Shoreline Drive becomes Meigs along this stretch). Turn left onto Cliff, and go 0.2 miles to Flora Vista (there is a traffic light at the corner). Turn right on Flora Vista. Calle Andalucia is less than a quarter of a mile up Flora Vista on your left, and we’re 2413 Calle Andalucia.
